Celtic knots are sometimes referred to as eternal patterns. Iron Age Celtic art developed from earlier prehistoric pattern found in European Atlantic rock art. Over time, simple, spiralling swirls and rings grew into interlacing, continuous lines without beginning or end.
This wearable sculpture made of Connemara ‘Celtic’ Marble is complete with a stand carved out of Ashford Black Marble (bituminous limestone from Derbyshire) and removable waxed hemp rope cordage with a 5000 year old Irish bog oak toggle.
