This pendant is a hand carved piece of rare marble from Connemara, Ireland. It’s a very old stone that formed between 600 and 900 million years ago.

The stone originated from mineral deposits laid down in ancient, shallow seas.

Metamorphism: These layers were compressed and heated, creating  contrasting hues with serpentine, calcite, and dolomite. The green serpentine giving it its ‘Celtic marble’ nickname.

This necklace is complete with handmade, waxed hemp rope cordage and an English oak toggle.
