MINI SNOWSHILL DAGGER

£45.00

Miniature solid bronze replica of a Snowshill-type Bronze Age dagger. The original Snowshill bronze dagger was discovered in a burial site at Snowshill in Gloucestershire and dated to the early Bronze Age, around 1900-
1700 BCE.
Found with other high-status grave goods, the dagger likely belonged to a person of importance, reflecting the growing social hierarchy and symbolic use of metalwork in prehistoric Britain.
The artefact still shows where the hilt of the handle was attached to the blade - the tannins in the wood etched its shape onto the bronze, allowing us to make an educated guess at the design of the handle.

This necklace is complete with handmade, naturally stabilised hemp rope cordage and an English oak toggle.

Pendant dimensions:
62mm x 15mm x 5mm

Hang length:
280mm
