PORΘ

£152.00

End of Old Waters is an ode to the last European hunter fisher gatherer tribes of the Mesolithic before the Neolithic farmers came. Our brand new collection of original designs. Unlike our other jewellery, these aren’t directly inspired by specific historical artefacts or sites. These carvings come purely from the imagination.

PORΘ is made of porphyry from Scotland. The Romans and the Egyptians prized porphyry for carving ornate statues, monuments and buildings (a puzzling feat considering the hardness of this stone).

This necklace is complete with handmade, waxed hemp rope cordage and a 5000 year old Irish bog oak toggle.

Pendant Dimensions:
52mm × 52mm × 11mm

Hang Length:
300mm

PORΘ- ‘door/gate/gateway’ in Proto-Celtic (reconstructed language)
